As the country comes to terms with the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill, renowned political scientist and linguist Noam Chomsky had this to say about India’s watershed moment:
No doubt this is a fateful moment or India, not only the outrageous amendments to the Citizenship Act but also the atrocious actions on Kashmir and other steps to destroy Indian secular democracy. Combating these ominous developments will be a hard struggle, but a necessary one.
