Music of the Week| The Velvet Underground

This week’s music comes from the American band Velvet Underground. Arguably as influential as The Beatles, Velvet Underground paved the way for a myriad of genres to come. Their 1967 debut album ‘The Velvet Underground & Nico’ was produced by artist Andy Warhol and is claimed as the “most prophetic rock album ever made” by Rolling Stone – ranking it 13th on the list of 500 Greatest Albums of all time. Today marks 30 years since Warhol’s death.
